The SANGROK gym has become like a second home for me.
I'm very privileged to have experienced the training and the spirit
of SANGROK. The way Master Chang has taught me, has given me an opportunity
to learn high quality Taekwondo. SANGROK represent not only taekwondo
to me, but also the best part of Korean culture. I feel honored to call
Master Chang my master and friend. Anyone that wants to experience Korean
culture at it's best and wishes to train the best Taekwondo, should
visit the SANGROK World Taekwondo Academy. The way of Master Chang's
taekwondo teaching is a blend of traditional taekwondo and Olympic taekwondo.
If you are a beginner, an instructor, competitioner etc, SANGROK gym
and Master Chang has something to teach everyone.

Hello Everyone!
For the persons who don't know me: I'm Conny from Germany. I stayed quit a while in the Sang Rok Gym and now I'm going to be a cop back in germany.
Well, the year 2004 is nearly finish, always a time to think about the going year, the past and the future. Also thinking about my time in korea.
Because of giving long time no signs of me, to everyone of the SangRok Family, let take me the chance to write something of my thoughts here in this homepage. (Sorry in advance for my bad english. As a nonative englishspeaker its sometimes quit difficult to put all what I'm thinking in the right english words.)
Well, I came to the sang Rok gym, because of the wish to improve my taekwondo skills....but what I get was much more then I ever dreamed of.
I became part of a big family, which is located all over the world, with the meeting point Sang Rok Gym, Seoul, Korea.
I changed my life once, when I started with Taekwondo over 12 years ago. And I changed again my thoughts, my way to go, how to see the life....when I met Master Chang and his family.
When I came first time to the Gym...I don't know how to discribe that feeling....it was like coming home, after a long search, feeling familiar with nearly everything.
The litle Sang Rok was a smart, friendly, sometimes a litle bit shy great boy.
After a while staying in the gym, Sang Rok became like my litle brother, which I never had at home, but always wanted to have. He tought me the korean language, we cooked together, we trained, loughed and played togehther. I was also there when he became very sick. It was amazing to see with how much power he wanted to win this fight. Everybody of us could getting inspired from that young litle boy.....
But I could'nt be there when he died...I still feel very very sorry about that.
But Sang Rok will always stay in my heart!!!!
Who ever decided to take litle Sang Rok away and let us stay here, if you believe in god, buddha, allah......we are not able to change it!
But what we have to do, the time that us given on earth, we have to do our best! In every situation. If it is in taekwondo, in the human realationship, at work, in the education....
That is the most important think I learned in the Sang Rok Gym. And that is what Master Chang show us every single day.....what he try to tell us in the looooong dinner time and try to teach us in the dojang. |
